Art that portrays wars and battles By Skyler Zeigler and Brooke Reynolds Art portraying wars and battles throughout the ages~ Throughout time, many artists have used plenty of types of art styles to make great art that shows:how they feel, certain major events, and just plain anything . As you may know, there is plenty of art in the world and it just keeps growing , growing in music, paintings, drawings, etc. Wars have been huge major events in the world, and not everyone can see these wars of how they affect the world. Because of this many artists around the world have painted, drawn, sang, and so on, about wars for everyone to see the effects of war. The emperor is sitting on the light colored horse, reaching his arm out to the people who have died, and those who are wounded. Leading Liberty The People Painted by Eugà ¨ne Delacroix, completed in May 1831. The painting shows the July Revolution, and how the people all came together in the name of France to overthrow Charles X. Known as â€Å"Trois Glorieuses† or â€Å"Three Glorious Days†. Battle of Maipà º It’s unknown on who painted it, but all we know is that the painter completed it in 1837. The painting shows Chile during its fight for independence, located near Santiago, the capital of Chile. This battle ended the Spanish military rule of Chile. The Remnants of an Army By Elizabeth Butler Finished in 1879 During the Anglo-African War In this painting, there is a man who survived a massacre during the Anglo-African war. She said it â€Å"shows British heroism† and that it reflects her feelings on the war. Birth of the Irish Republic Painted by Walter Paget, and created in March 1929. The painting shows the warfare during the Easter Rising, and how many were wounded and killed for the independence of Ireland. There are many editions of the painting, but this is the oil painting that he painted.
